My Services | Mis Servicios | I Miei Servizi
I have been a tour guide for over 20 years and really enjoy sharing my country and its history with people from all over the world. I like to tailor the tour to your individual wishes. I will pick you up on arrival at the airport, arrange for a hotel or a “casa particular” (a room in a private house) and drive you back to the airport for your departure.
I drive and guide clients all over Cuba using my own car (a Russian Lada that works perfectly, is dependable and very safe) or a rented car if they prefer (offering more comfort or air conditioning), or if they are more than 4 people. I speak English and Italian as well as Spanish.
While walking in Havana, I am a body guard against the hustlers (or jineteros) who are trying to sell fake cigars or bother the tourists in many other ways.
I can also help you change money into Cuban money, taking you to a bank or an official exchange place, avoiding scams and the black market.
Experience
I have more than 20 years driving and working as a tourist guide so I know even the stones inside the caves here in Cuba!!! Many roads are not marked and no signs indicate where you want to go. A knowledgeable guide is necessary in these cases. We can stop anywhere you wish to enjoy the scenery, take photos, have a picnic or rest. I also like to stop on the trip, in beautiful places so that you may enjoy the magnificent scenery and take some photos.
Of course, as a guide, I know artists, places with very good and traditional Cuban music shows, health places like Reiki treatments, medicinal baths, as well as some other activities depending on what clients are looking for such as going to see the world famous Cuban Ballet, horseback riding, discovering caves, hiking etc.
I am professional, punctual, thorough and very interested in sharing the beauty and history of my country. I don’t smoke, I don’t drink coffee, and as long I am driving, no alcohol. I am a very healthy person, and will help you find very good and healthy food.
Remember to never drink tap water in Cuba and to stay with bottled water in order to avoid health problems, and remember to bring your sunscreen, a hat and a good mosquito repellent.
Clients have said to me that I have a good sense of humour so the tour will be very agreeable and enjoyable for you.
